In the making for over 18 years, Distilled Technology’s guiding principles focus on transparency, engagement, and a practical approach.

WYSIWYG… an acronym that has been around since the infancy of computing. A lot has changed since that acronym was coined. For better, or for worse. At Distilled, we believe some of those core tenants have been lost. And by reintroducing them back into software development in a modernized way, folks can get exactly what they need from their software… nothing more, nothing less. Our name, “Distilled,” is reference to that core philosophy.

Distilled Technology gets its name from the scientific process of distillation. The process of distillation is extracting the purest form of something from its constituent pieces. This concept is found in software development as well. From extracting the business problem from the noise surrounding it, to creating pin-point software components, creating what you need, and only what you need, in its purest form, is the most efficient, cost-effective, transparent, and purest way to create high quality software. This is a guiding principle for Distilled Technology. Distilled prides itself on quality, transparency, and a no-frills experience when partnering with other companies. And we will do this together, confirming our findings with you, our partner. Only then can we be assured we’re all working towards the same goal, regardless of how ambitious it may be.

Strong partner relationships, transparency, engagement in the process, a focus on people… these things happen naturally at Distilled because they are an ingredient to our way of doing business, not an empty promise written in a dusty company handbook.

Although founded recently, Distilled has been in the making for over 20 years. Our leadership team have been working side by side for over 15 years. You simply will not find a better, more well-rounded team of technology professionals.

Before becoming Distilled Technology, most of Distilled’s technologists already worked together at an exciting SaaS company. Founder and CEO Brian Ludemann recognized that the capabilities of his team transcended the bounds of working for a single company, and when presented with the perfect opportunity, decided to establish Distilled Technology and extend the reach of that amazing team of professionals.

Almost immediately, Distilled began to expand it’s customer base including partnerships in Education Technology, Financial Services, Manufacturing, and others.
